Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell, an American TV chef and the former Institute of Culinary Education instructor, is a TV personality. She hosts Secrets of a Restaurant Chef at the Food Network. Anne Burrell's Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant chef, with her trademark spiky blond locks and pumped up personality, explains easy techniques any person can master. Burrell is a chef who has been in the kitchen for a long time. Burrell is also a veteran of New York City's best restaurants. She also has learned about Italy's food traditions and culture, as well as the geography. Growing up in the upper reaches of New York area, Chef Burrell developed a passion for food and cooking from a young age. The Culinary Institute of America has sparked her interest in managing restaurants when she received an English/Communications degree at Canisius College Buffalo NY. I enjoyed every moment during my time of The Culinary Institute of America she declares. I couldn't learn enough couldn't do enough couldn't work hard enough. After graduating, chef Burrell was in Italy for a year, taking classes at an Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners. Also, she was employed at La Taverna del Lupo and La Bottega del 30 (a Michelin starred restaurant) located in Tuscany. It was during this time that her experience in Italy allowed her to comprehend and appreciate the Italian way of life and its culture and this has left an impression on her culinary perspective. Burrell is a member of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board that brightens up the lives of children who are struggling. She also is a Juvenile diabetes Research Foundation Celebrity Advocate in which she raises awareness about juvenile diabetics. In her capacity as a speaker, Burrell makes trips across the country to share her passion for food as well as her career in the culinary field. Anne has said during her career in the kitchen she is incredibly fortunate to be able communicate with people what is truly important to her.
