Rena Sherel SOFER
Rena Sherel Sofer is an American
actress, known for her appearances on the daytime network, occasional guest
appearances, as well as made-for-television films. Sofer has won the Daytime
Emmy Award in 1995 for her role as Lois Cerullo on the soap drama General
Hospital. Quinn Fuller has been her character on CBS's soap drama The Bold and
The Beautiful since 2013. Sofer was born in Arcadia, California, the daughter
of Susan Sofer, a psychology professor as well as Martin Sofer, a Conservative
Rabbi. After the divorce of her parents and her family moved to Pittsburgh,
Pennsylvania. In 1970, Sofer and her brother David and her father to Teaneck in
New Jersey. At the time, however, Sofer was five years old, they remained in
Western Pennsylvania. They lived in Ambridge, Pennsylvania, where her father
was the director of Beth Samuels Jewish Center. She attended the Frisch School,
an coeducational Mordern Orthodox Jewish highschool in Paramus (New Jersey).
Sofer was born in North Bergen, New Jersey. Her father was the rabbi of Temple
Beth El. After finishing her studies at North Bergen High School in 1998, she
pursued her education at Montclair State College. Sofer was Lois Marie Cerullo
for the first time on General Hospital. In 1993, she was an administrator of a
band. Her first major role was Rocky McKenzie on the daytime soap drama Loving
(1988-91). The most well-known role she has played is her role on General
Hospital as Lois Cerullo (December 15, 1993 - September 24 1996). In the
following years, she was in guest appearance on the show (February 7-17, 1997
September 30th to October 2nd , 1997). Sofer was given the Daytime Emmy Award
1995 for Outstanding Supporting Artistress in Drama Series for her portrayal as
Lois. Sofer joined CBS's soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful as Quinn Fuller,
a role she had just created. The premiere of the show aired in July 2013. Sofer
has appeared as a guest participant or guest star in a range of popular
prime-time television shows, including Seinfeld and Melrose Place. She also
appeared on The Chronicle, Ed and Friends. The first episode aired on July 12.
