Tracy Spiridakos
Tracy Spiridakos, a Canadian actress. She was a part of Becky Richards on the Teletoon children's comedy series Majority Rules! From 2009 until 2010. She then starred as Charlotte "Charlie" Matheson in the NBC post-apocalyptic science fiction series Revolution from 2012-2014, for which she received an Saturn Award for Best Actress on Television. Annika Johnson played Annika on the A&E television series Bates Motel. Spiridakos has been a part of the NBC drama Chicago P.D. since 2017. As Detective Hailey Upton, Spiridakos is the main character. Spiridakos was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, to Greek-born parents, who were restaurant proprietors George and Anastasia Spiridakos She has two brothers. When she was born, her family relocated to Skala, Greece, south of Sparta. They returned to Canada in 1992. She is very attached to her Greek roots and is fluent in Greek. Spiridakos began acting at junior high school. She continued her studies at the Actors Training Centre of Manitoba. She was a graduate of Oak Park High School in Winnipeg in 2000. Spiridakos left Winnipeg to pursue acting in 2007. She found her first television role on Supernatural within a matter of weeks. She continued to work on television, playing walk-on roles in Bionic Woman's The L Word, Hellcats, Psych and other shows. Spiridakos played the role in the TV film Goblin and the web-based series Mortal Kombat: Legacy. Spiridakos was also a part of Being Human as the werewolf Brynn McCLean. In 2009 she was cast as her first lead role in the role of Becky Richards, a 15-year-old girl who appeared on Canadian Teletoon's Majority Rules! In 2011 she made her feature film debut in the film Rise of the Planet of the Apes. She also directed Kill for Me, a low-budget thriller directed by Michael Greenspan. The film featured Donal Logue, Katie Cassidy, and was directed by Michael Greenspan. Spiridakos was seen as Sammi in the 2012 Nickelodeon original film, Rags. Then, she was offered a lead part in the NBC TV series Revolution as Charlotte "Charlie" Matheson, one of the survivors in an unimaginative future society. She was auditioning while watching her pilot in Los Angeles. Spiridakos produced her pilot in Atlanta. The pilot season was shot in Wilmington, North Carolina. She was nominated for the Saturn Award for Best Actress on TV for her performance during the pilot however she was defeated by Fringe's Anna Torv. The series' second season was shot in Austin, Texas.
