Sofia Margarita Vergara, Spanish was born on 10 July, 1972. She is an actress presenter, producer, model, and TV presenter from Colombia. Vergara was the highest-paid actress in American television between 2013 to 2020. Vergara rose in prominence in her role as host of two programs on Univision's Spanish-language television network in the mid-90s. Her first major acting role in English was in the film Chasing Papi (2003). Later, she appeared in Four Brothers (2006) and Tyler Perry's comedy Come To Jail (2008). She was nominated for an ALMA Award for the former. She began her career as Gloria Delgado–Pritchett for ABC's comedy series Modern Family in 2009. As a result of this role, she won four Golden Globe Awards and four Primetime Emmy Awards. Vergara has also voiced roles in animated movies Happy Feet Two (2011).
