Magda Apanowicz
Magda Apanowicz, (pronounced NOH-vitch) is a Canadian actor from Canada. Her best-known work is her roles as Andy Jensen on the ABC Family series Kyle XY, as Lacy Rand on the short-lived Syfy science fiction drama series Caprica and as Emily (born Maya Hartwell) in the science-fiction series Continuum. In the past, she played Sandy in the Netflix thriller series You. Apanowicz is of Polish descent and spent a time in Poland in the 9th grade. She lived there with her uncle and went to the school in Jelenia Gora. She then went on to study at Vancouver Film School. When her brother introduced her to the Pulp Fiction, she became fascinated by acting. In 2002, she began her first acting appearances on the TV series Jeremiah. She did a brief appearance on John Doe's TV series. From 2007 until 2009, she was acting in the Kyle XY role of Andy Jensen. She was in Every Second Counts, a Hallmark Channel original film that premiered in 2008. In 2009, Apanowicz was cast in the role of Lacy Rand (a regular in the series) in the TV drama Caprica with Eric Stoltz, Alessandra Torresani. Later, she was a part of Hellcats. In 2012, she was a guest star in the second season of Jane Espenson's web-based romantic comedy series, Husbands.In 2013, Apanowicz played Emily in the show Continuum The actress also appeared in the Eli Roth horror film The Green Inferno as Samantha. While it was shot in 2012, The Green Inferno was globally made available in 2015.In 2017, Apanowicz was cast as Angela in the science fiction thriller film Volition. The film was released on the 20th of February 20, 2020. Apanowicz was cast as Sandy in the second season of Netflix thriller You.
