Emily Swallow

American actor Emily Swallow, born December 18th, 1979. Her role in The Mentalist as Kim Fischer and Supernatural as Amara/The Darkness are her most famous. She also played the Armorer in Star Wars' live-action series The Mandalorian. Emily played an unimportant role in The Last of Us Part II. Swallow was born December 18 1979, in Washington, D.C. Her family lived in Sterling, Virginia, as well as Jacksonville, Florida. She started acting in the Stanton College Preparatory School, Jacksonville as in school. Swallow received a BA in Middle Eastern Studies at the University of Virginia in 2001. She pursued her studies for an MFA in Acting at the New York University's Tisch School of the Arts in Acting. She starred in world premieres of Donald Margulies' play The Country House at Los Angeles' Geffen Playhouse, opposite Mark Rylance in Louis Jenkins the production of Nice Fish at the Guthrie Theatre, and in John Patrick Shanley's musical Romantic Poetry at Manhattan Theater Club. She was awarded the Falstaff Award for best Female performer in 2010 for her role as Kate in the play Taming of the Shrew.In 2012, Swallow and fellow singer/comedian Jac Huberman devised a stage show called Jac N Swallow that they staged in New York at the Laurie Beeckman Theater and Joe's Pub. The show centers on the hilarious mishaps of the duo as they navigate very different life challenges with varying degrees of sanity, and decency.
