Charisma Carpenter
Charisma Carpenter (born July 23, 1970) is an American actress from the United States. Cordelia Chase played the role of Cordelia in Buffy the Vampire Slayer's supernatural drama (1997-1999) and the spin-off show Angel (1999-04). She also appeared in Charmed (2004) The Charmed (2004), Kendall Casablanca's (2005-2006), Rebecca Sewell (2012-2013) and Lacy (2010-2012) Carpenter was born in Las Vegas. Carpenter is of Spanish (from the maternal grandfather), French and German descent. Carpenter attended Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas. She was involved in a dance and dance troupe that performed in the Las Vegas Valley. Carpenter moved with her family to Rosario Beach in Baja California, Mexico, at age fifteen. She went to Bonita Vista High School and Chula Vista School of the Creative and Performing Arts. Carpenter embarked on a journey to Europe after she graduated. When she returned to San Diego, she worked as a clerk in a video store as well as an aerobics teacher and also in property management. She was a cheerleader with San Diego Chargers football in 1991. In 1992, she moved to Los Angeles.While swimming in San Diego in 1991, she and two male colleagues were assaulted by Henry Hubbard Jr., who was a former San Diego police officer and serial rapist, who tried to subdue them by threatening them with guns. Both Hubbard Jr. and her comrades were wounded in the fight. They both survived. Hubbard was found guilty and sentenced to 56 year imprisonment for a series rapes and as well as robberies. Carpenter took Hubbard's police-issue flashlight from the beach which he had left at the scene and the flashlight became the most important evidence used against him.
