Michelle Lynn Monaghan was born March 23 of 1976. Her most well-known roles include her roles in the films Kiss Bang Bang (2006), Gone Baby Gone (2007, Made of Honor (2008)), Trucker (2008) and Source Code (2011). Her leading role in Mission: Impossible III (2006), Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol (2011) and Mission: Impossible Fallout (2018) has earned her recognition. Monaghan was also nominated for the Golden Globe Award as Best Supporting Actress. In the drama series The Path (2016), she played the character of Sarah Lane. Monaghan was the character Eva Geller on the 2020 Netflix thriller series Messiah. The show was cancelled after only one season. Monaghan was the daughter of Sharon Hammel (a factory worker) in Winthrop. Bob and John are her elder brothers. Monaghan is of Irish and German heritage and was raised Catholic.She graduated from East Buchanan High School in 1994. She relocated to Chicago following graduation to pursue a degree in journalism at Columbia College Chicago. Then she began modeling. She has modelled in Milan and Tokyo, Tokyo, Hong Kong as well as Hong Kong, Tokyo and the United States. With only one term left to finish her journalism degree in 1999, she made the move to New York to pursue an acting career. Before becoming an actor she worked as a model and appeared in many magazines and catalogs. Monaghan's initial two television appearances, in a supporting role and as Caroline Busse in episodes of Young Americans, which aired in 2000. In "Consent" Monaghan was the character as Caroline Busse. She was also a part of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit during the same episode. On January 19, 2001, she was a part of the cast in "Consent". In the year, her big screen debut was in Perfume in the role of Henrietta. Her next film, again in a supporting role, was in 2002 in Unfaithful with Richard Gere and Diane Lane.
