Tauheed Epps is an American hip-hop and rapper who is more popularly known by the name of 2 Chainz. He is a native of Georgia, he began his musical career when he formed the hip-hop duo Playaz Circle, along with a high school friend. Their debut album 'Supply & Demand", was a modest success. Epps then followed it up with 'Based on an T.R.U. Story', his debut studio album. It debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200. It was a great success. The album sold 147,000 copies within the initial week. His success with the album has earned him the status of famous and he swiftly rose to the top of the US's hip-hop scene. He has been nominated for six Grammy Awards so far. One of them was awarded to him for his song "No Problem". He kindled controversy in 2013 when being detained on a flight departing from the Los Angeles International Airport as his luggage contained marijuana and promethazine. The incident did not affect his popularity. His fourth and latest studio album , 'Pretty Girls Like Trap Music' released in June 2017. 'Based On a T.R.U. Story, 2 Chainz' debut studio album, is his first major work and his most successful. It was a huge success and reached the first place on the US Billboard 200. In only one week, it had sold 17,000 copies. The album sold 623,000 copies over a year. The album was nominated for the Grammy Award for Best Rap Album' at the 55th Grammy Awards. The reviews for the album were mixed. 2 Chainz married Kesha Ward in 2013. The couple have three kids, Heaven, Harmony, and Halo. He is not only a highly accomplished professional, but he is known for his brushes with the law. Numerous times, he's been arrested for drug possession.
