Peregrym began her career with the Lizbell Agency when she was 18. [6] Her early modeling career began when Peregrym was advised by her agency to move to commercials. She acted in commercials for Sprint Canada, Mercedes-Benz and the Olympic Games. Peregrym's debut as an actor was in 2000 in a Vancouver episode of Dark Angel. She continued to play the roles of guest stars on The Chris Isaak Show and Jake 2.0. In the uncredited role of the 2004 superhero film Catwoman Peregrym made her debut on film in 2006, acting as the lead character in Stick It, a film that follows a rebellious teenager who is forced to return to her former career in gymnastics. Peregrym was then cast in the role of an illusion-making Candice Wilmer in the tv show Heroes and was described by the producers in promotional material as "a female sexual entice". [8] She was due to be in the episode titled "Parasite", but she made her first appearance in a non-speaking role in episode "Company Man" the week prior to. Peregrym was the first actress to play a leading television role in The CW series Reaper from 2007 to 2009. Nikki Reed initially played the role in the pilot episode that never aired. Reaper was about a man of the age of Sam who became a bounty hunter for evil one.
