21 Savage Bio
21 Savage was born in Newham, England, and was raised on the Eastside Atlanta. He is a product of a family of poverty, struggle, and violence. The pain and anger of his past come across as a clear message through his music. don't mess up with me or my people. From the debut mixtape "The Slaughter Tape", 21 has developed a style that is somewhere between Atlanta's Trap or Chicago's Drill. It's a violent and hyper real look at Atlanta. He has formed meaningful connections with superstar producers Sonny Digital and Metro Boomin as well as upstart F-12. Sonny Digital collaborated on his follow-up tapecalled "Free" Guwop EP. This was his way to pay tribute to East Atlanta's GucciMane. Slaughter King was his third release and officially placed 21 on the list of artists to keep an eye on. XXL declared 21 Savage as a Freshman in 2016 shortly after the release. After the release of "Savage Mode" (July 2016) which was a collaboration with super producer, Metro Boomin' 21 Savage has taken his underground fame to a mainstream success, racking up 11.6k+ in sales total during the first week as an independent artist being ranked #1 for a whole week, beating Drake, Schoolboy Q, and Logic. The third week of its release it was ranked the top song on Apple Music (not only hip-hop). Momentum for the rapper only increased after "Savage Mode." The rapper followed it up with "Issa" and the collaborative track "Without Warning" featuring Metro Boomin and Offset from the Migos. 21 Savage has signed a partnership agreement with Epic Records, which is a Sony Music Entertainment label.
