Shawn Killinger is a multi-talented person. She's a journalist, reporter and anchor for a television show. But she is most famous for her role as host of QVC, an American network that is specialized in home-shopping broadcasts. In addition, Shawn is also widely acknowledged for her role as a former contestant on NBC's reality game show named "The Apprentice: Martha Stewart". Shawn Elizabeth Killinger was born on November 2 1979 in Detroit, Michigan. As a child she performed and danced in the community theater. The efforts of her father led to the family moving to Mexico City at 11 years old. During her four-year stay in Mexico City, she began to study Spanish proficiently and was accepted in the International American School Foundation. After graduation, she attended Penn State University's State College with a marketing degree. An 'obsessed, wanderlust-loving traveler', she traveled to Geneva, Switzerland to work in the International Labor Organization (ILO) as well as the World Health Organization (WHO) during her matriculation. Apart from being a successful reporter and television host, Killinger is also known for being a philanthropist - since 2008, she's been actively involved within the Make-A-Wish Foundation, serving as its "Wish Granter" for children with life-threatening diseases.
