Ann-Margret Olssonwas born on April 28th 1941, is a Swedish-American actress and singer. Ann-Margret's acting credits include Viva Las Vegas (1964), The Cincinnati Kid ( 1965), The Train Robbers (1973), Tommy (1875), The Villain (1979), Newsies (1992), Grumpy Olsson (1993), Grumpier O Men (1995) and Going in Style (2017). She has won five Golden Globe Awards and been nominated for two Academy Awards, two Grammy Awards as well as a Screen Actors Guild Award, and six Emmy Awards. In 2010, she received an Emmy Award for her guest appearance on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. She has been singing and acting for the past six years. Her professional career began in 1961. At first she was referred to as Elvis Presley's female version. She has a powerful vocal, vivacious contralto. She had a minor success in 1961 and an album that charted in 1964. She had a major disco hit in 1979. In 2001, she released an album of gospel which was praised by critics, and in 2004 she released a Christmas album. Ann-Margret isn't married but was the stepmother to Roger Smith's children. Smith, who was an actor was later her manager. Smith and her were married from May 8 1967 until his death on June 4, 2017. Prior to this, she dated Eddie Fisher[38and was romantically linked to Elvis Presley during the filming of Viva Las Vegas in 1964.
