America Georgine Ferrera is an American actress who gained fame for her character as the title in the popular television series "Ugly Betty'. She was interested in acting at the age of a child. She appeared in numerous school productions, and then her debut film, "Real Women Have Curves" became an instant celebrity. Her performance in "The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants" attracted more attention, but she gained most fame for her performance as the main character in the TV series "Ugly Betty" that won numerous Best Actress Awards including the Screen Actors Guild Award and the Primetime Emmy Award. America Ferrera met her future husband director and actor Ryan Piers Williams, at the University of Southern California; she was cast in a student film. They got engaged in June 2010 and got married the 27th of June in 2011. They have two kids, a son named Sebastian (born May 2018) and a daughter named Lucia (born on May 4 2020). In a tweet in October 2017, she admitted that she had been sexually assaulted when she was nine years old. She appealed to the women around her and urged them to come out in order that "the next generation of girls will not have to endure this kind of nonsense.
